This year's season of the Charles Town Farmers' Market comes to a close this weekend. And what a great season it was. Our little market has grown into a fine destinnation - kudos to the vendors and organizers!
I will certainly miss the food and the fun. But mostly I'll miss the fellowship. Chatting with the farmers and crafters. Running into friends. Connecting with my community.
Some of that will still occur, at a holiday party, in line at the grocery store. But it's not the same as early morning, outdoors, downtown. As the market goes into hybernation, so do we.
